McKee reels in the miles after passing Cape Verdes
He keeps on going the man from the States, positively reeling in the miles. At present he is stealing along at an average of 8 knots while his rivals top just 6 knots in the middle of the Cape Verdes. The night has proven to be a particularly good one for Jonathan Mc Kee (247- Team Mc Lube) and comparitively disastrous for his adversaries. -

One year after, Chris Sayer’s new mini going to be back up the blue
The New Zealander Chris Sayer was the big surprise of the ’99 Mini-Transat. At the helm of his safe 6.50, Navtec, a home build in strong and heavy wood mini, the tall man took third place of the race behind Sébastien Magnen (double winner) and Pierre-Yves Moreau. Structures boat builder in Ste Marine (South of Brittany, France) continues its first tests of the new Pogo 2, the one design production for the serie division of the Class Mini.
