Giancarlo Pedote passed first the "gate" situated off Poto Calero
This morning at 5.14 (French time) , Giancarlo has passed the first mandatory gate set by the organization in the Canaries. On this occasion, he was able to contact the organisation and indicate that everything is fine on board. -

The Mini Transat will start from Sada and go directly to Point-a-Pitre
They’re off ! After reviewing all the options open to them, the organisers of the Mini Transat , in consultation with the competitors, have finally decided that the 2013 edition of the race will be run as a single leg, from Sada to Pointe-a-Pitre. The start is scheduled for November 12. -

Giancarlo Pedote wins "a race of speed" in Douarnenez
The Trophée MAP was concluded on Friday night at 19:49:26 with the victory of Giancarlo Pedote and Prysmian 747. It ’s the first time that an Italian win this race, and he does it breaking the record obtained by Davy Beaudart (mini 674) in 2008, with a race time of 1 day 4 hours and 50 minutes. -

The Pornichet Select race, the second race of the Atlantic Class Mini 6.50, one of the most demanding on the calendar with its 300 miles off the coast of Brittany, is over. After leading most of the race, Giancarlo finished second (just a minute from Gwénolé Gahinet) with its proto Prysmian 747. This is the second podium in two races. -

Douarnenez - Arrecife (Lanzarote) - Pointe-à-Pitre for the 2013 Mini Transat
There is no more "Transat 650" from La Rochelle to Brazil. The next edition of the solo transatlantic race aboard 6.50 meters long monohulls got back its classic name of "Mini Transat". The Mini Class which had given the organization to Douarnenez Courses has presented, on Saturday evening, the new race course. -

Pip Hare : " It was really important to remain positive"
