France’s Damien Seguin, in the 2.4mR, and Bruno Jourdren, Eric Flageul and Nicolas Vimont-Vicary, in the Sonar, made it a double gold for the host nation at ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères as the Paralympic competition wrapped up. -

ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami : It was a week of superlatives
Think 678 sailors, 599 boats, 150 races for ten Olympic classes and three Paralympic classes. At the ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami, presented by Sunbrella, we talked of "a racecourse built out of shifts." We spoke of competitive performances that exceeded any comparison to walking a tightrope. Dancing on a tightrope would be more to the point. -

Racing on the Pão de Açucar race track, a south easterly breeze in between 5-10 knots allowed all the fleets to conclude their racing. The breeze died towards the latter part of the afternoon as the Women’s 470 wrapped up proceedings. -

Billy Besson and Marie Riou (FRA) stayed strong to take the Nacra 17 honours in Rio
A south westerly breeze from 15-20 knots spoilt the Finn and Nacra 17 sailors on the Pão de Açucar course as two excellent Medal Races played out. The breeze faded towards the afternoon with the 49er getting three single point theatre style Medal Races in and the 49erFX sailing two.
