From equator to equator, Banque Populaire V’s crew established a new record (to be validated by the WSSRC). With 32 days, 11 hours, 51 minutes and 30 seconds, the sailed more than one day faster than did Loïck’s brother, Bruno, aboard the catamaran Orange 2 in 2005.
Sailing at an average speed of 26,31 knots from their start, the 14 guys still have one week to sail to reach Ushant and establish the new Jules Verne Trophy record.
