Loïck Peyron and crew have broken the Round Britain and Ireland record

Last night (french hour) at 11:06 pm, Loïck Peyron and his 12 men crew have crossed the finishing line of the Round Britain and Ireland record Record #sailingrecord at Lizard cape. The new skipper of the 40m long trimaran Banque Populaire V adds a new record Record #sailingrecord in the way to break next winter the Jules Verne Trophy.

"This record Record #sailingrecord helped me in discovering the trimaran" said Peyron. "We worked in a "round the world" way of sailing".

Peyron and his crew (Juan Vila, Kevin Escoffier, Xavier Revil, Florent Chastel, Frédéric Le Peutrec, Emmanuel Le Borgne, Billy Besson, Jean-Baptiste Levaillant , Yvan Ravussin, Brian Thompson, Thierry Chabagny, Pierre-Yves Moreau) have sailed the 2077 nm course (3900 km) in 3d 3h 49min 14s.

They break Sidney Gavignet’ previous record Record #sailingrecord at the helm of Oman Air Majan by one day
