Multi recordman on the Atlantic with New York - Lizard in less than 100 hours : Cammas or Bertarelli ? Groupama or Alinghi ? Proffit or Butterworth ? A choice was necessary… The SeaSailSurfer of July 2007 is the new recordman of the Atlantic crossing… in less than 100 hours.
Franck Cammas made a success of his bet. At the helm of its giant trimaran (32 meters long), the Mediterranean made a success of its American tour by beating the records Cadiz – San Salvador, Miami – Ney York and the prestigious New – York – Lizard cape, the famous Atlantic record Record #sailingrecord .
Cammas thus aligns his name under those of Charlie Barr, Eric Tabarly, Philippe Poupon and lately Bruno Peyron… Lastly, cherry on the cake (french : "cerise sur le gâteau"), he nearly covered 800 miles in 24 hours and took down the high score in the category of the better distance covered in a day long. His next goal is now the Trophy Jules Verne this winter… Make your bets !
