Giancarlo arrived in Les Sables d’Olonne at 20:00 and 16 seconds, about 3 and a half hours after Boidevezi, but the advantage that Giancarlo had recorded in the first leg upon him was of 12 hours, 12 minutes and 43 seconds.
"I think in this race the most dangerous opponent for me, will be myself. Sometimes one can be tempted to push too far the boat and a break can come in a moment. I’ll Try to be wise and to do things without too much pressure, without finding a rhythm exaggerated."
This is the statement issued by Giancarlo Pedote before the depart of the second leg of Les Sables - Les Açores - Les Sables, a race that ended yesterday with the victory of Nicolas Boidevezi and the second place of Giancarlo Pedote.
Giancarlo started with the objective of conducting a race against himself in order to win the race but not forcefully the leg, through precise control of its own forces and those of the boat, the weather and their opponents in view of the results of the first stage .
And he won his fifth race upon 5 raced in 2014 in class Mini 6.50.
