Third times winner of the Solitaire Afflelou Le Figaro : One Vendée Globe, one Route du Rhum Route du Rhum #RouteDuRhum , one OSTAR and… three Solitaire ! Mich’Desj, "The Professor" has signed a big schelem in solo offshore racing. And this winter he won again the Solitaire ahead of Duthil and Douguet.
We knew he has the best rangings of the world of solo offshore racing, now he is at the top of the Solitaire rankings. He counts three wins such have done before him Jean Le Cam and Philippe Poupon. Hi just misses Around alone and the Mini-Transat. A race he won years ago… the second leg "only" at the heml of the first offshore racing boat with a canting keel.
At 42 years old, Desjoyeaux is still young even he has begin racing with late Eric Tabarly in the Withbread. At the helm of a one design boat of a prototype, of a multihull or a monohull, Michel has won lots of race. And we will find him again in the next Vendée Globe entry list, at the helm of a new Farr designed Open 60…
