Franck Cammas, skipper of the maxi trimaran, has presented the crew who will be setting off on their latest adventure from 1st November onwards. Their mission is to break the round the world record under sail, held since 2005 by Bruno Peyron on Orange 2 with a time of 50 days and 16 hours. -

Bidegorry’s band makes it in 3 days 15 hours!
Pascal Bidégorry and his 11 men crew aboard the maxi trimaran Banque Populaire V has just broken the historic North Atlantic Record. With an overal time of 3 days 15 hours 25 minutes and 45 seconds, the 40 meters long multihuls has covered the 2921 miles at an average speed of 32,94 knots ! -

Cammas breaks Peyron’s Mediterranean record
And that makes five! Franck Cammas and his crew have bagged the first record of their 2009 campaign and the fifth since the 105 foot trimaran saw the light of day in June 2006. -

Stéphane Guilbaud : "we are even stronger today"
Just a year ago, Franck Cammas and his nine crew capsized 80 miles off New Zealand following the breakage of Groupama 3s port float. 24 hours ahead of the reference time set by the current Jules Verne Trophy record holder when the incident occurred, the crew was airlifted to safety by helicopter before heading back to the zone to rescue Groupama 3. -
